Remedios visit!

Well one of the best things that happened after Grant left, was that the Remedios' came to visit the next day. We were all sad that Grant wasn't there to share in the fun, but it was a great distraction for me and the kids. So grateful to have such good friends! It was cute to see how excited Rowan was too. We picked them up at the airport late Wednesday night and the second Joey got in the carseat next to him Rowan said, "remember when we went to Bali together?!" and then Joey apologized for not being nice at Rowan's birthday party (over a year ago) to which Rowan responded, "what did you even do?!" Clearly he was forgiven. Their little friendship has been so fun to watch over the past couple years. 

We had a great time adventuring and hanging out together. It's nice to have friends that are just comfortable to be around no matter what the circumstance. We did Annie's Canyon hike followed by aFletcher's Cove beach day and then In-N-Out, the San Diego zoo, another beach day, a little hike behind our house, and lots of playing together at home and in the yard. And...we finally got to meet baby Tobie (who was already so big!) Why had it been so long since we hung out and why do babies grow so fast!?

San Diego zoo...it was exhausting with my pregnant belly and a toddler who decided he would rather me carry him than sit in the stroller for a good little while, but still a lot of fun!

And we had 2 fantastic beach days, both at Fletcher's Cove. Unfortunately I only took pics on the overcast day, not the gorgeous sunny one, but oh well. They were equally fun and enjoyable!

"Mom, I want to pee in the ocean!" (he's not very discrete about it...but at least he kept his pants on ;)

Thank you guys for coming to visit. It was SO much fun, and again, except for missing Grant in the fun, it was the perfect distraction for the boys and I after his departure. Hoping to make many more memories in the future.
