Mom, here is the picture for you of us in our life jackets at the beginning ;) No, we didn't wear them longer than this picture, but I can assure you this river was not dangerous and we could stand in it the majority of the time.
I had to work in the morning before we left, but Grant got up with me at 6 to make a batch of Snickerdoodles to share with everyone... Charis getting the hand-off...
Enjoying my Cherry Coke Zero (current favorite beverage of choice) in a homemade Koozie and Courtney and I sharing some awesome pasta salad that Abby made...I even loved the tomatoes in it (and for those of you who know my eating habits, raw tomatoes are not top on my list)
And here is what a long day on the river can do to a person....
Well I really didn't get that many quality photos because I didn't want my camera out that much for fear of getting it wet, but we had a great time. We floated down the river, often holding on to each other's canoes 3-5 together, enjoyed some sun and shade, ate lots of good food and remembered how much we love being outside (especially when water is involved!)

Looks like you all had a great time. Glad you could take a day and enjoy it with friends.
ReplyDeleteThis is fun. Reminds me of the couple times I went on Green River through Mammoth Cave and jumped out of trees along the way. :) by the way can you ask Laura Huntzinger to add me to her private blog - cecpool@gmail.com Thanks. :)
