Winter internship

The day after returning to Lexington, I headed to North Carolina to visit the Schiebels (who moved the day we left for break). Grant started school last week, but I still had a week of Christmas break left :) Al started work on Jan 3 so I went to help Karrie while they adjusted to the new house, town, schedule, Al being gone again, etc...and it was so much fun. From the beginning I have called my whole experience with these triplets my internship into motherhood...and luckily it has only made me more excited to be a mom one day. I have to say it was ridiculously sad to leave though :(
I really just helped with whatever needed to be done...one of the funniest was the "butler tray" (named by me). Baby central is upstairs, so we would prepare formula and rice cereal in the kitchen and bring it up on the tray....
Notice the adult goodies on the tray as well...Diet Coke and chocolate :) We had a lot of fun getting the kids used to eating solids...
Practicing feeding themselves to help out mom once I left...
...and just hanging out having fun...And of course we had to get out a few times to get to know the new city! Purchased the cutest swimsuits ever! (now we just need swimming weather to arrive).
Grant loves driving and also wanted to visit, so he dropped me off the first weekend and came to pick me up and hang out the second weekend. We had some good times for sure!

Well it's back to real life now...school starts up again today. This semester is Peds and OB (which I'm optimistic about liking so I hope that is true).

  2. So fun that you got to go for a visit. I can imagine the withdrawals that you are going through missing those little cuties!

  4. They sure are getting big. It made me thing of the tiny plasters Grant did of their hands and feet. The butler tray is awesome!
