Fall at Apple Hill

One thing I was a little sad about living in Okinawa in the fall was that I wasn't going to get to take the baby in the pumpkin patch photo, which seems to be like a rite of passage in the life of a child :) The story of our journey to California will come at a later date, but we survived our crossing of the giant Pacific Ocean and made it to my parent's house. I was so excited that both my sisters were able to come home to visit and most of all see Rowan and how fun he is right now.
So, back to the pumpkin photo...we decided to head up to Apple Hill the day after we got to California for some real fall experiences, and to try to find some pumpkins even though it was the week after Halloween.
We stopped at Larsen's first where we taste tested several varieties of apples and of course had a photo shoot with the little guy and all the apples...
Sisters
We drove a little farther and came upon a spot with a trailer FULL of cute little pumpkins, needless to say, I was pretty excited!
Some of my very favorite pumpkin photos...

Rowan seemed to thoroughly enjoy his time with the pumpkins and I felt accomplished as his mom :) I had to fly half way around the world, but I did it...got my pumpkin shot :)
So grateful to have shared this experience with my parents and sisters... It is so fun to see the relationship of grandparents and aunts with Rowan. They all love each other a lot. Despite Rowan having a bit of a cold, he was his cute and happy self :)
Such a wonderful trip so far, and the fun continues....
