Happy NINE months little man! For maybe the first time in my entire life, I wish that time would just slow down or stay still for a little while. We are happy, healthy, enjoying life and I am loving the age and stage Rowan is at right now. I feel so blessed to have this little guy in my life.
Another month has passed and he continues to grow and advance like crazy. And just when I think he can't get any cuter...he does! Those little teeth poking up out of his bottom gums are so adorable.
Here are some pics and milestones from the last month...
He loves rocking on his little Vespa and is starting to climb up on it (he is definitely a climber). Speaking of climbing, he can climb our entire flight of stairs like it isn't even a challenge. Grant went upstairs after getting home from work one day and didn't close the gate. Rowan immediately crawled over and started following him up. I followed him just to see what he would do, and he climbed all the way to the top and into our room to find Grant. This month we also bought a bike seat for him and have been on several bike rides, he loves it! (and so do we!)

He stands up on everything and can stand on his own, but only for a few seconds before getting scared and sitting down. Love this rain jacket from Aunt Holly :)
He continues to be in to EVERYTHING! Not only did he pull all the spices out, he also somehow got the shelves to come off the door as well...mischievous little guy.
This month: Weight 18 lb 11 oz (29th percentile), height 69.5 cm (28th percentile)
-He learned to wave and is very enthusiastic about it! He will full body waves, straight arm and full body movements or he will just open and close his hand. Both are so cute.
-Started to wean. He still nurses for breakfast and before bed, but we do a bottle for lunch and dinner. I am loving this arrangement.
-Slept through the night (11 hours) for the first time since before we went to the states in November. Have done some night sleep training that seems like it might be paying off :) Still not super consistent, but even when he does wake up, he goes back to bed pretty quickly
-Consistently sneezes after his first bite of breakfast every day. It is so weird, I have no idea what causes it and it still surprises me every morning!
-Babbles a lot (mama, dada, baba...but I still don't think he says them purposefully as words)
-Cruises along furniture like a pro
-Doing better in the car although it still is not his favorite place
-Has two bottom teeth and his top left is starting to poke through just barely
-Still a great eater and will eat most anything. He really prefers to eat what we are having for dinner over baby food. He could not get enough of our Japanese curry the other night
-LOVES electronics and knows that he's not supposed to touch them, but that makes it all the more enticing and fun. He will sneak up to try to type on the keyboard and gets crazy excited if he sees my phone lying on the ground.
-Pincer grasp has greatly improved but isn't quite perfected yet
-Loves playing peek a boo and laughs hysterically when you pop out from behind the couch or a wall. He has the most adorable little laugh.
-Super ticklish, especially if you nibble the bottom of his feet or squeeze his thighs
-Had his first bout of separation anxiety when we went out to dinner for Valentine's Day
-When new people start talking to him he will give them a cute smile and then get shy for a minute and bury his face in your chest if you're holding him...so cute and I enjoy the momentary cuddles :)

Did some wrenching with dad and got so dirty. There was grease all over his face and hands...looking like a real mechanic :) -and then climbed into the house on my freshly cleaned floors.
He is so full of life and facial expressions, I can't help but smile every time I look at him!
Happy 9 months Rowan! I could not have asked for a better kid, I love you!

this is so cute. Love the pictures and details. Gets me even more excited to see him (and now I want to hear that laugh!) when we visit!
