Succulents!

I LOVE succulents They are a pretty perfect plant :) They are beautiful, so easy to care for and come in such a variety of textures. I think one thing I love about them also is that they remind me of Oceanside. Our neighbors had several beautiful succulents last year and then we make some arrangements of our own from farmers market buys. I was so sad to not be able to bring them with me. Luckily, a few weeks ago I finally found a greenhouse that sold succulents, and then saw them again at a store down the street. I thought this would be the perfect time to work on a project I've been wanting to do for awhile now!
Saturday was rainy, so our plans of a beach day were crushed, however, it turned out to be the perfect day for this little project :) I wanted a succulent frame in the shape of an L to hang next to our front door. So, we got some wood, glue, nails and wire and made it happen! The L is a little over a foot tall.
It was a little messy, but nothing the dyson couldn't take care of. Lucky for us, Rowan took a nap right as we were ready to get the dirt out :) He would have definitely made a mess of it.

We just planted them all within the wire framework we made so that when we put it on the wall vertically it will help keep them in place. We are letting them sit on the ground for a little while to take root again and then will hang it. I LOVE how it turned out. Such a fun, fast and beautiful project :)
Something lovely to look at every time I come home :)
