Botanical garden outing

For this week's adventure, Barb and I decided to take the kids to the Botanical Gardens. Luckily we bought a pass awhile back and have definitely gotten our money's worth already. However, we found out that they had added an inflatable pool and slides and bounce houses that are free with admission making the deal even sweeter.
We met at the gardens around 9:45 and decided to head over to feed the monkeys and capybara first.
I took our little Japanese kid hats that are SO cute. They were adorable in them :)

The water part was on the other side of the park, so we headed over there to cool off. Boden was amazing and slept on me in the ergo the entire first half of our day while we walked around! The kids jumped in the bounce houses for awhile and then we ate lunch and swam! It was surprisingly not very crowded which we were happy about. The pool was the perfect depth, Rowan just kept jumping and belly flopping, swimming for a minute and then repeating. He was in heaven swimming around like a little sea turtle.

They even had a guy on a segway come around taking orders for shaved ice from your table! Then, he delivered it a few minutes later in a little cooler! Can't get much better than that kind of service :)
Perfect way to beat the heat. Again, I'm starting to get a little sad that we're only here another year as we're finding fun things to do as Rowan gets older. Even though the summer is so gross and hot, there are a lot of fun things about it!
