Nago Pineapple Park

Saturday morning we wanted to do something, but nothing that would take the entire day (so we could go home and be productive during Rowan's nap time). We have talked about going to Pineapple Park forever now, but hadn't done it. Since we have less than a year left, we decided to start checking things off our Okinawa bucket list.

The first thing is a "pineapple truck" (as Rowan called it) ride through the pineapple fields and pretty vegetation. The car drives itself but Rowan got to pretend to drive it which he obviously loved! This was definitely the highlight of the experience. I was slightly disappointed that you couldn't walk around the pineapples like you can at Dole (because I wanted to take pineapple patch pictures-since we carve pineapples for Halloween), but oh well. The pineapple trucks were pretty awesome :)

Next was the "Robot Show". It was all in Japanese but Rowan still thought they were pretty funny. They pretty much just danced along to a song. We tried to get him to dance with them but he wouldn't :)
Then there was a huge shell museum. It was fun to see the shells that we have collected compared to what they had there. It was HUGE!

The end was pretty fun as well. There was a wine tasting room first with several different pineapple wines, followed by juices (which we were obviously more in to :) The next room had tons of different pineapple treats (bread, cake, cookies, chocolate, etc). And then, we got to taste a few different varieties of fresh pineapple. The tasting experience was very fun. Overall, it was nothing fancy but the perfect activity for our Saturday morning!
