Well time is flying...(and this post is almost a month late)-probably because that's about the pace that our lives are going right now. Every day I think, "why did I ever complain when I had just one kid." But it is true that whatever you're going through at the time can be challenging. There are moments when I don't think I can keep up with both of them...and then I see things like this that make me realize why I wanted my kids to have siblings.
Rowan and Boden are starting to interact much more and although I don't 100% trust Rowan around him, I am comfortable enough to leave them together in the same room for a couple minutes without being worried for Boden's life. Bo has toughened up and Rowan has become even sweeter (most of the time) towards him.
FOUR MONTHS!
Weight 13 lb 14 oz (19th percentile)
Height 24.8 inches (35th percentile)
Head 42.5 cm (48th percentile)
This month Boden:
-moved up to size 2 diapers (but still only poops about once a week-until the end of the month when he got diarrhea and I changed more poopy diapers in one week than in his entire life combined!) He didn't seem at all sick otherwise, just lots of poop (which luckily was all contained in those new size 2 diapers :)
-likes to grab things-especially pull on his clothes and pull his paci out of his mouth (which is counterproductive, but luckily he doesn't rely too much on a paci)
-Rolls back to front (beginning of month) and by the end is rolling all over the room
-No longer swaddled to go to bed
-HATES his carseat. I made up a song to sing to him in the car though which weirdly can sometimes calm him down. It is so cute because Rowan will start singing it whenever Boden starts crying... "Boden Kai, Boden Kai, he's a super cutey guy. Boden Kai, Boden Kai, he's the apple of my eye"- yep, I've turned into a crazy cheesy mom I guess, not sure how I came up with that :)
-Took his first flight (to Osaka)
First time in the swing...he loves it! We don't have a baby swing, so he'd never been in one. He looks terrified as it swings back and then gets so happy as it catches and starts moving forward.
Most of the time a super happy guy...living on pure good breastmilk. Yum!
Looks like my workout wore him out too! Trying to enjoy baby snuggles before he gets too big!
Happy 4 months little man!
