End of finals=Beginning of summer!

The last week has been crazy... I haven't had a finals week in a long time, and then to make matters worse, both finals were cumulative. A cumulative final for an 8 credit class is a ridiculous amount of material to review. My study group and I spent a LOT of time gathered round my kitchen table, with the occasional break to throw the lacrosse ball or kick a soccer ball in the back yard.
On Cinco de Mayo...we took some time out and went to dinner with some people from our clinical group. The restaurant was CRAZY busy, but we had a lot of fun and enjoyed a much needed break.
Morgan, Serah, me, Natalie, Rachel, and Christa
Luckily all the studying paid off and I did well on both finals and it felt so good to throw all of these away on Friday night.... (and this was not even all of them)...
That night we had some awesome Thai food with Karrie, Al, and Kristen, followed by some shopping and catching up on the DVR on Saturday :)
To start out this week, we did some gardening/weed pulling. We are enjoying seeing the plants we spent last summer planting, coming up again this year.
Can't wait for all the flowers to bloom.
And here is the beginning of another summer of fresh from the garden vegetables, can't wait!
Then today, Grant and I made a very quick trip to Bowling Green. Grant had to get a bunch of teeth for his "Endo boot camp" next week, and today was the only afternoon he had time to go, so we drove down around noon, hit of the oral surgeons for the jars he had previously dropped off, and then came back home so I could work and he could study. Here's a pic in front of Bowling Green's famous Corvette Museum (no, we didn't tour it today...no time :)
Look how nasty those teeth are. The girl in the front office went and put a glove on to even touch the jar before giving it to us, haha! Some of the teeth are seriously sick (probably should have been pulled (or taken care of) years before). There are chunks of tissue, etc floating around in the water too, yummy :)
The question is...how much would we have to pay you to take a sip of the water? Grant asked me on the way home and I couldn't even think of an amount...And trying to get a pic of us both in the crazy wind. Fun little road trip, back to Lexington to hopefully have some fun in this first week of my summer!

  1. I'm on the verge of throwing up after seeing those pictures of the teeth. Oh, that is so nasty. Grant is a brave man for wanting to deal with people's teeth. That's for sure! Congratulations on the finals! Keep up the good work.

  4. Yeah for having the tests over!! I'm always amazed at how much tooth there is that we don't see. Glad they can keep them so Grant and the gang can work on them.

  5. Glad you guys made it through the school year! I remember having jars of teeth sitting around our apartment for four years. Fun stuff. I think we got rid of them when we moved, but who knows maybe they are packed in some box that I have yet to unpack, lets hope not. lol
