Super Saver!

Derby day! It poured rain all day so I was glad we didn't decide to actually go to the Derby this year. Grant and I both have huge finals on Tuesday, so we spent the majority of the day at home, with our respective study groups (we decided to do a pot luck lunch with my group, which eased the pain of studying for a cumulative pathopharmacology final, just slightly). After studying the day away, we decided we needed a break and had been talking about doing fondue with Dave and Rashelle for months now, so decided to make it happen. We consumed a large amount of cheese....
And since we're not really the mint julip type...I tried a fun new drink in our new derby glasses.
This is one of my new favorite salads...so delicious and super easy. The candied nuts really add some goodness to it :) I used feta and mozerella instead of teh Roquetfort (because that's what I had), so really any cheese you like is perfect.
Fondue, bread, and salad (to make us feel a little healthier).
All ready...preparing to eat and picking our horses.
And guess who picked the winning horse?...yep, ME! I am SO indecisive (about most things), but especially when picking horses. But I told myself I just had to do it, and I picked well :) Thank you Super Saver!
A fun little study break, enjoying the outrageous hats and outfits the newscasters had on. I worked Saturday morning, and even at 6 am, they were already covering the derby....it's big news in these parts! A fun day in Kentucky.
And...I am excited to report that I officially have 5 days until summer begins for me!!! I CANNOT wait to be done with school for a few months :)
