First birthday x3

The trip wouldn't have been complete without celebrating the triplet's 1st birthday! I CANNOT believe it has already been a year since they were born...
The party was perfect though. The weather could not have been better, perfect temperature, fluffy white clouds, excellent outdoor party conditions. I was so glad my sisters could come up for the party also...I have met Karrie and Al's families several times, but they have never met mine. My sisters have seen pictures and heard lots about the babies, and were so excited to meet them!
Madison is the feel good baby...so smiley and will let anyone hold her :) Perfect poser for the pictures!
We got lucky in that we were all feeling a bit better this day too...All along I had planned on making the baby's birthday cakes...but with being sick, not having all my supplies, etc. I thought it was best to just order them instead. They turned out so cute though and each baby got their own:)
We sang happy birthday and then they all dug in!...but first pulled out the candle and chewing on the wax for a bit :) Jordan poked around for a minute...but had had a long day and became disinterested quickly...
Allie played around in it a little bit longer, but still don't think she ate any of it...Madi did not disappoint... she did what everyone wants their 1-year-old to do, make a mess and stuff their face! She is a smart little girl, and once her hands became too caked with cake to be able to grab more, she would lean over and wipe the excess frosting on the grass next to her!And you can't eat like that without making a complete mess of yourself :) Dad got her all cleaned up...and I got to cuddle the clean, full, worn out birthday girl :)
Allie was a happy baby once she didn't have to play with cake anymore...
Another great part of the party was that Rashelle was able to come visit. She flew in just hours before and took some time out to come see us before she left! And...got to meet cute little Jacob, which I'm SO happy about (since her water broke the night she left my house to move to DC).
Although this was a "no gifts" party, my sisters just couldn't resist buying cute baby clothes :)
Thanks for a great trip and a great party!
