WaSAABi

I seem to get sentimental when I get rid of a car. Cars are so intertwined with both the daily events of our lives and also exciting trips and good memories. When I was 16, my first car (a sweet Mazda MPV-yes that's a minivan) was totaled (not my fault), but I was so sad to have to retire my very first car. I went to the yard where the car was towed and took pictures of me with my totaled car...to help capture the memories. Sad to say, a few days later I checked and realized that my camera didn't have film in it :( Luckily that is no longer something we have to think about...so I was actually able to capture a few final pics of WaSAABi.

Wasaabi first entered our family when my dad's desire to get a Saab was realized. We actually picked it up for them in Provo and drove it to Disneyland where we met my family and dropped it off with them (and then drove back to Utah with Jenny and Sean). My family (especially Karleigh-enjoyed the car for several years-although definitely giving them more than a fair share of issues) until they bought a new car and graciously offered this one to us 2 years ago (when Grant drove out during his spring break to pick it up!) . It has been such a blessing to have this car in our lives, however, with our move in the near future, and the fact that we will probably both be commuting at least more than we do right now, we realized we needed something a little newer and more reliable.

  Meet Mullet...
I know it's an ugly name for a really cute car, but we saw it fitting (business up front...party in the back), considering it is a hardtop convertible. One of my favorite features is definitely how the top goes up and down like a transformer (Grant's words) with the push of a button.
We are anxiously awaiting warmer weather (and a move to California), but are having fun with the top up for the time being.

Although it was a joint decision, Grant did surprise me with the actual purchase while I was at work all day Saturday. I trusted his negotiating skills and was actually really relieved that I didn't have to be a part of that process (more evidence that I am my father's daughter).
