Lighthouse celebration

Mat and Jenifer were craving some more beach time so decided to come visit for the week (even though they had to work from "home" a few days). It was great to have them here and fun to have others to celebrate the 4th of July with!
On Tuesday night they were kind enough to take us out to celebrate my having passed boards and getting my license! One of my favorite parts about living here is the fact that we have a good selection of restaurants within walking distance. I LOVE walking places. Our neighbors had recommended we try Lighthouse (in the harbor about a half mile from our house) so after looking at the menu online, we decided it looked like a pretty delicious choice.

Even though we had already looked at the menu online, there was still a lot of looking and deciding once we got there. Anyone who has ever been out to dinner with us knows this is very normal for us :) We decided to share coconut shrimp and macadamia encrusted mahi-mahi with macadamia mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. It was DELICIOUS!
View from our table in Oceanside Harbor. Unfortunately it was pretty overcast so the sunset was kind of nonexistent, but we'll have to go back again on a sunny night for a brighter view.
It always feels good to walk off a big meal.  We walked home on the sand which is always fun :)
Thanks Mat and Jen for helping us properly celebrate :)

  1. It was so fun to walk while we were there. It's one of things we miss the most next to the company and the food. :)
