Triple the visit

I have been looking forward to this week-long visit since before we left Kentucky! It was hard when the Schiebel's moved to North Carolina, but being only 6 hours via car made it manageable. Even being in school, etc. we made it work to visit at least every couple months. It was even harder though when we left for California...it is much farther, and I know that flying with triplets isn't high on anyone's list of fun things to do. However, Karrie's family visits north county San Diego at least every other year and this happened to be one of those years!
Excuse the excess of pictures...but I love these little guys. I guess they got in my heart through all those hours/days/weeks/months I spent with them in the beginning.
Madi (on my "pink!" towel), loving the beach! We definitely spent some good time at the beach...I loved that they "lived" just down the street for a week!
She got a little tired and came to cuddle with Aunt Taryn...and I wasn't going to complain.

Apparently she was comfy (or super tired) because she stayed asleep for the whole walk back to the house (moms out there, you must have the buffest arms ever-because carrying a sleeping kid is a good workout :) We got back home and hung out all sandy and sweaty for another good hour!
Their rental house had an awesome outdoor deck so we watched the sunset and surfers...such a fun view.
And Jordan and Madi found a tiny puddle of water on the deck and thought it would be fun to blow bubbles in it. So gross but too hilarious not to document.
Thursday morning we all headed down to the zoo. It had been a few years since I had been to the zoo and haven't ever been with kids (since I was a kid) so it was a totally different and fun experience. It was so cute how excited they got about everything...Jordan asked if he could touch every animal. I think his favorite were the animal statues around the park that he could touch :)
 Lunch break :)
 Checkin out the hippos!
My favorite exhibit was the lions. It was awesome because there was a female hanging out right next to the glass, then the male walked over, laid down next to her and started roaring! We all thought that a speaker or something had been turned on, but upon watching him realized that monstrous sound was coming from him. Amazing.
Quite possibly one of the cutest photos ever! Love this face.
Of course the rest of the visit was full of more great beach days. For a kid who didn't like the beach/ocean before this trip, Jordan became quite the little beach bum.
This picture makes me happy too...the guys hanging out. It is fun to see Grant and Al get together. It is crazy how much their minds think alike. It has been a longtime plan that they will go on Amazing Race and we will buy a beach home together with the winnings...this trip further confirmed that plan.
Me and the girls on their last night :(
 Schiebel's: we LOVE you!
And I MADE sure to get a couple pics with Karrie, because I knew if we didn't make a conscious effort to do so, it wouldn't happen. Here we are sporting our matching jackets :)
Sunset family photo shoot that we crashed...jk, Grant was the photographer, but I stole Karrie away for a minute ;)
I've said it so many times...I love all the visitors we get to see living here...keep on coming!
