We packed a lot of fun into a few days while everyone was here visiting. Grant isn't really able to take leave while he's in his residency, so it worked out that we live somewhere that people were excited to visit :)
The first day we spent some time in San Diego, walking around Seaport Village, the midway, lunch at El Indio, Coronado Island, and finally Extraordinary Desserts.
Dash wasn't sure about wearing Grandpa's hat, but he was having fun after a long flight from Atlanta.
In front of the Midway
Grandpa and Dash, both in their big hats for their white skin :)
Tim, Tricia and the boys met us on Coronado and Gavin and Kade had a ton of fun running wild on the sand after hours in the car!
Friday was our beach day and the weather did not disappoint. It was a PERFECT beach day...warm, but not hot, and sunny all day. We hung out around the condos in the morning and on the sand in the afternoon. Grant was able to take the day off too which was a lot of fun.
Jen and Maddox (pre haircut) hanging out in the sun
Our little man is already learning to share...let Maddox borrow his beach hat (since my belly is still providing all the shade he currently needs)
We walked up to Subway to get some sandwiches for lumch...
And then hung out on the beach all day. Tricia and I, the pregnant ladies, in our chairs. Had to makeshift a swimsuit with a maternity tank since nothing fits and I wasn't about to sit out with my belly hanging out all over!
That night we grilled up some amazing food and enjoyed dinner on the balcony. We were so blessed to be able to use our neighbor's condo for several of the family members to stay...pretty sure we wouldn't have all fit in our place, but it was SO fun to all be so close.
The whole Layton clan (minus Bryce). So glad we were all able to be together for a few days! Saturday was picture day and some time in La Jolla.
Thank you for all coming out to visit and be together before we move across the world!
