Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 2014

Grant had the day off and we had GORGEOUS weather, so knew it had to be a beach day. There are some small islands that we can see from our house that have bridges to them, so thought it would be a good day to go check them out. We picked a beach on Hamahiga Island that looked beautiful online and was somewhat secluded.

We had this entire beach to ourselves for most of the morning/early afternoon! It was amazing.

We packed a lunch and just spent the morning/early afternoon laying out, looking for sea glass, playing in the sand and hanging out. It was a perfect temperature and just what we needed after a week of dreary weather and rain.

I love how much this kid loves the beach...but he's starting to want to eat the whole thing :) I don't even want to know how much sand he ate (I guess we'll find out in his diaper!) It was hilarious to see him just shovel it in his mouth though. I tried to stop him, but it was close to impossible!

Crystal clear water. It is starting to feel "cold" which is still warmer than California Pacific but much colder than the bath water that it was this summer!

Such a perfect and gorgeous New Years Day. We had a pretty amazing 2013 and I can only hope 2014 will treat us as well. Happy New Year to all of you!
