Terrific 2 months (Boden)

Time continues to fly by and this kid seems to gain a pound and an inch a day! We had his 2 month checkup yesterday and he tipped the scales at 12 lb 11 oz! He has gained 7 lbs since going home from the hospital and 4.5 inches. It is astonishing how fast babies grow. 

Boden is AMAZING! He makes it possible for me to stay sane because this mom of more than one kid thing is hard! Boden sleeps 6-8 hr stretches at night and will eat and go right back to sleep. He sleeps in the rock n play next to our bed, but I usually cuddle him in bed in the mornings after a feed since I feel like I don't get to cuddle as much as I'd like during the day while I'm chasing around a 2 year old ;) He takes naps still between each feeding during the day (with his best nap usually being in the morning) and then. His smile is contagious and Rowan loves to see him smile which I of course think is adorable :) He responds to faces immediately and makes the cutest coo noises (I know this is a normal baby thing but of course it's cutest when my baby does it :) He continues to be able to roll belly to back but doesn't hate tummy time. Sometimes he prefers to hang out on his belly for awhile. This month (around 8 weeks) he cried his first tears, which of course was sad for me, but he really doesn't cry a ton. He loves to be swaddled to nap still and usually a swaddle and some rocking will calm him right down.

Love those big blue eyes :) It is crazy how sometimes I think he looks exactly like Rowan and sometimes I think they look nothing alike. I'm so interested to see what he looks like as he grows!

Such a good little guy. He has done this a few times while we eat at the food court. Just hangs out on the table looking around! Makes it so much easier to eat when you have 2 hands to do it with :)

He puts up with a lot from his brother. We're excited for him to get a little bigger and be able to fend for himself ;) Luckily, most of Rowan's touching is all done in love, unfortunately that love still cannot be trusted without supervision!

Best buds!

It has been such a good month. I continue to adjust to being both a stay at home mom and a mom of 2. I love it but often find myself wishing I could just spend time with each of them individually instead of having to tend to both of them at the same time. I wish I had the time to just stare at, cuddle, talk to and nap with Boden and I also wish I could play with and help Rowan with my full attention. However, it is working out well and we're happy together (most days) :) I do look at them and count myself SO lucky. Boden has been the perfect addition, I don't know that I could have made this transition with a difficult baby, so Heavenly Father blessed me with the best baby ever!
 (however, ours arms might not be as strong as they were with Rowan because we aren't having to bounce him for ours on end to keep him calm!)
