A few months ago I decided to buy a season pass to the zoo and am so glad that I did. I didn't have high expectations of the zoo but in a lot of ways it has totally exceeded my expectations. Obviously it is NOTHING like what we had in San Diego, but it small ways it has some perks that I'll miss. We've been a couple of times the last few weeks and last time got up close and personal with lots of animals. We enjoyed the petting zoo and they also moved the elephants so that they are now accessible to pet, etc. It's so fun!

At the end of the day we played on these mosaics and the awesome helicopter. I had seen it before but didn't realize the kids could actually play in it. Landon and Rowan had SO much fun!
Also inside the zoo is a Wonder Museum. I had been waiting for Rowan to get a little bit older before we went and it was the perfect thing on a chilly Saturday with friends.
It's crazy how fast things change. Look at all those boys! How did they get so big :)

And after we were done at the Wonder Museum, Rowan got to ride solo on the fun cars/bikes for the first time. He didn't even run into anything :)
We're making the most of the small little places we'll miss once we leave Okinawa.
