We took advantage of our hotel location on Kadena to spend a lot of time on the seawall in our last week on island. We lived on the the east side of the island so enjoyed lots of sunrises and lit up clouds from sunset, but we wanted to make sure to see as many sunsets as possible that last week there. We were also close to several of our favorite restaurants so we did dinner and sunset most nights that week. It was great. I will let the pictures do most of the talking, we had some incredible evenings to leave Oki with a bang.

Sitting on the jacks, watching the sunset
I took a picture with Rowan in this exact spot a few days after we arrived on island. It is really shocking to see how much happens (especially with kids) in 3 years.
Even looking east, the sky lit up
And then for the main event...the sunset was unlike any I had seen before! You could see the rays coming out once the sun was down. Seemed fitting as one of our last sunsets in Japan, land of the rising sun. The silhouettes of everyone watching are kind of fun too.
Rowan requested to ride the ferris wheel one more time and wanted to take Rhonda because she had never been...she obliged if he would hold her hand since she was a little nervous about it.
View from the top. We did the ferris wheel during the day last time so it was fun to see the city lit up at dusk.
And then our very last night...we will miss so many people and places. Okinawa was more than we could have hoped for and will forever be a wonderful time of life to look back on.
Getting lots of attention...seemed fitting to have random people taking pics of the kids on our last night there.
Sayonara Okinawa!
