We spent the first few days at the Inn on Miramar and my parents stayed with my aunt and uncle (and my parents got super sick-maybe what Grant and Rowan had?) But luckily they felt better by the time we had scheduled to have fun. They rented a beach house at Mission beach for the remainder of the days until we got to move into our new house. It was so much fun and perfect to distract us from all the moving and check in stuff.
We spent most of our time at the beach...and when we weren't at the beach, we were eating yummy food and/or watching the Olympics. The timing was perfect for us to get to watch the Olympics since we were without a TV for so long with our move.
It was the kids' first time playing in the much colder ocean (except for our October trip home), but they didn't seem to mind the colder water or waves. They loved it just the same. And the sand here is a little bit more fun because it is way better for sand castles, etc.
Boden didn't complain but his poor little jaw was quivering because he was so cold! I won't complain about the cozy cuddles though!
This is the cute little alley right on the beach where our house was. It was so fun.
The next day, my parents stayed home with the boys while they napped and Grant and I took the beach cruisers out. It was SO much fun to just ride along the boardwalk in PB and Mission. Brought back some good memories.
Came back from our ride to this cute view.
Kids liked playing in the yard as much as the beach...they have an inability to not dig if there is dirt present.
The second day we headed to the bay side (our house was perfectly situated between the ocean and the bay, only a block to each). The kids really enjoyed the bay, more the water they're used to because it was calm and Rowan could swim, which he was excited about. We spent a little time on the playground there too which was fun.
Boden clearly wore himself out. Passed out in the wagon on the way home.
We love the beach...spent the entire next day on the sand and then a walk to a Mexican place across the street.
I'll feed you Doritos and you will love me forever :)
Boden played so hard that he came and crawled on top of me and just fell asleep...it was so cute!
The next day, we moved into our new house and our shipment that had been in storage for 3 years was delivered. We decided to still spend the next few days in the hotel though since it was reimbursable and we didn't really have any furniture. My parents then had to leave the next morning to get back for my dad to start school.
Bye bye Mimi and Papa, we miss you! Thanks for helping make our transition smooth and coming down to spend time with us!

We had such a great time with all of you.
