I HATE wallpaper! But if you think that's bad, check out the walls here...there is not only wallpaper (and in some places wallpaper over wallpaper)...the whole house was then painted over that wallpaper (who knows how many times). I didn't realize how much I hated it . I knew it was ugly and had to come down. I had heard horror stories but when I went to town on the stuff in the hall (pictured below) it came off in big sheets leaving nothing behind, it was great.

I decided to sport the mask...who knew what was in that terrible stuff.

Then the drama began...wallpaper either doesn't come off all of the way or it pulls the wall off with it. Here are the pictures from the bedroom! LUCKILY...it was only on one wall, and the small wall at that so we were SO lucky.

And then came the loft (we built the loft so we could get the wallpaper off that tall wall! haha) The vinyl part came off great but we had to spray soapy water on the paper and peel and scrape it off bits at a time. It was a fun morning :) I was happy to find a piece of the original stuff so we could see what was once there. The hallway had dragonflies and the kitchen had a beautiful (not really) fruit salad on a grape vine!

One more small room of wallpaper left and I just pray everyday that it's the same stuff that was in the hall! Otherwise, I'm putting bead board around the whole bottom of the room and leaving the wallpaper as a surprise for the next person that decides they don't like bead board :)
