TWO weeks

The first 2 weeks flew by... It feels so normal to have Rowan home with us, but it also feels like I was just having him yesterday. We had his 2-week appointment yesterday and this little guy is growing like a champ. I am so grateful that he is gaining weight, eats and sleeps well, etc. but it also makes me so sad. I already don't want him to grow up. He weighed in at a hefty 7 lb 8 oz yesterday (over a pound weight gain since we took him home from the hospital). He's still as cute as ever though :) He did a 6 hour sleep stretch the other night (at which point I woke him up because I knew he needed to eat) but it was amazing how normal I felt compared to the 2-3 hour stretches. He really is an amazing eater and sleeper. This kid is awesome, I have nothing to complain about.

I try not to overpost pics on facebook or Instagram (although I still post a lot), because I don't want to be "that mom" but my blog is mine and I can share as much here as I want :)

 Hi mom. He's such an alert newborn, I love it. Don't get me wrong, he's a deep sleeper too, but when he's awake he is alert and interactive.

 He is a serious stretcher! I love watching him wake up, because he stretches like crazy and pulls all sorts of funny faces. So cute.

 He is most comfortable when he looks uncomfortable (neck stretched far to the side or back).

 He is seriously such a smiley baby. He smiles when he is awake, asleep, while he's eating, etc.

 The Naval Hospital sent "Master Layton" a card the other day, saying welcome to the command and letting him know that they are grateful for his dad who serves proudly in the Navy and the hospital. It was pretty cute.

So grateful to have this happy and healthy little boy. We love him so much and can't wait to spend forever with him. Just need him to SLOW DOWN a little :)
