Ocean Expo with Gma Layton

Part of the idea with Tammy coming to visit, was so that she could watch Rowan on days that we both worked. I have amazing friends who were willing to watch him in their homes, but we decided some more Grandma time and being at home would be the best thing for him. Since we worked her hard on those days, we tried to have some fun on our days off. We had quite a few rainy days, but it let up enough for most of one day for a wonderful day at the aquarium and tropical dream center.

It was a wonderful day because we got their early and there weren't very many people initially.
The only rule of this starfish pool is to not pull the starfish out of the water...unfortunately Rowan doesn't quite understand yet. He kept trying to pick up the blue ones. I can't blame him since he gets to hold them in the real tidepools all the time.

Rowan pointing to the cuddlefish :) He continues to get more and more interested in things and loves pointing at and "talking to" the fish

After the aquarium, we let him play in the fountain, and there was almost no one else around. As always, he was in heaven and had a great time :)
And no trip to Japan is complete without getting to witness the craziness surrounding our little blonde haired blue eyed baby. This group of girls was hilarious! They all screamed every time he smiled.
After the aquarium, we made our way to the tropical dream center, There were chrysalises with butterflies that had just barely emerged and were still drying. It was pretty cool to see.
Tammy had a wonderful time looking at all the different flowers and enjoying the variety of colors, etc. I love this place every time I go!
That night we did a little makeup shopping for Grandma and Rowan had fun playing around :)
We are enjoying the adventure of Okinawa and were glad to be able to share it with our parents this last month!
