A 2-week trip to Okinawa wouldn't be complete without a trip to the third largest aquarium in the world :) ...so we took Saturday to spend the day up at Ocean Expo Park and had an awesome time. It's more and more fun every time we take Rowan (although increasingly difficult in some ways :) Holly and Jonny were a great help with him throughout their entire trip though. He loved having them here and so did we.
In true Okinawa style, we obviously had to take a pic with our heads in the cut outs. These things are everywhere and I love it.
The whale shark :)
The aquarium really does have some awesome stuff...I loved these lobsters, Rowan on the other hand was a little freaked out. He was intrigued, but would shy away whenever they'd come up to the glass.
The Tropical Dream Center is another favorite of ours up at Ocean Expo Park and Holly had been dreaming about seeing all the orchids since she booked her flight here...glad we could accommodate :) The Dream Center is awesome because we are always almost the only other people there and there are super cute workers who come up and offer to take pics for you. Unlike one of the other places we had been where they had a similar set-up, these people actually did a great job.
Again, Rowan's favorite thing was the rocks that line the path. He would pick them up and throw them down...always a good time.
So pretty!
It's fun to go frequently too, because we can get pics of Rowan at different ages in the same spots. We have one similar to this of him from February.
He's gotten really good at playing peek-a-boo in the last few weeks, it's so cute!
We ended the evening with a walk on the beach and dinner at Capt Kangaroo. It was delicious and a perfect way to end our fun day!
