I worked Thursday night so was planning to come home and sleep until about 12:30 and then we'd head out and play the rest of the day. I ended up waking up around 10 and didn't really feel like going back to bed, so we headed out for some fun down on the southern part of the island. We started at the Peace Park and had beautiful weather. It was a gorgeous day.
We've kind of gotten our day trips planned out since we've had visitors a few times, so we knew the route we wanted to take. And next on the agenda was the glass factory. It's always fun to watch them make handmade items and then walk around the gallery/shop. And Rowan of course loved the abundance of shisas at the entrance.
And finally we headed to Kokusai Street for some touristy shopping. Holly said she felt like she was definitely in a foreign country there and it's a different feel from most of Okinawa since it is more city-like than laid back beach living.
Rowan insisted on pushing his stroller instead of riding it for awhile...he did a pretty good job :) He's a strong willed little guy who has been off his schedule for almost 2 weeks so I really can't fault him for any bad moods (which were still pretty few and far between).
Love this picture!
Rowan has gotten amazing with his animal noises this week...and I have to admit, his monkey noise is definitely one of my favorites! I love that he is even pulling a monkey face in this pic :)
This goya bench had a funny little no-headed fake kid leaning over it (the kind we've seen at car shows and I always think is so weird). Rowan walked over and patted it on the back and tried to look for his head. It was hilarous.
He loves his dad, it's pretty cute :)
We finished the day with more food (we ate a lot the last 2 weeks) and I definitely feel like a fatty with my already growing baby bump. Night shift plus pregnancy plus visitors kind of kicked my butt, but it was so awesome. I'm so glad they came to visit.
