As I mentioned, Ron and Tammy's 50th anniversary was part of the motivation behind this trip, so we decided we needed to do a little celebration. Friday we hung out at Huntington Beach from lunch time until sunset. We had cookies with candles and talked to them a little about their wedding and life together. It was fun to hear more about their marriage and the early days.
All huddled up eating snacks in the shade...
Tricia and I went boogie boarding which was really fun! I hadn't been in a really long time because I was pregnant all last summer when it would have been convenient to go, so I was glad we got out there. I ended up getting quite a few really fun rides.
More cousin fun in the sand...
We had been snacking all day, so didn't do much for dinner, but everyone wanted to have a fire, so we got a little bit of really over priced wood, got out the smores stuff and had a fun fire. I introduced the smoreo to the family and it was a big hit with them as well.
And a few fun family photos we snapped as the sun went down
It was so nice getting to spend so much time with Grant this week. It had been way too long since we'd had this much time together. He had even missed out on our beach trip last summer because he moved out to Maryland before us. We were trying to savor every moment of him being with us.
