President's Day

For our last President's Day in Maryland, we thought it seemed appropriate to go see some Presidential DC sites. Grant and Rowan had the day off so it was a perfect excuse for a little family excursion. 

We started with some Dunkin donuts and hopped on the metro from Bethesda down to Smithsonian.

It was chilly but not terribly cold which was a blessing since it had been the week before!

Rowan had learned a lot about the presidents the week leading up to the holiday and was actually really excited to go see the monuments. The entire outing went so well and was so much fun to spend the day together!

Rowan wanted a picture in front of the white house as well. He had me send some pics to his teacher and he got to show and talk about them to his class the next day.

And all that walking worked up an appetite, so he hit up District Taco before jumping back on the metro
