Grant had today off because they have their "sealant trips" to rural counties in Kentucky so a quarter of the class is gone so they did not have class. He spent most of the day "studying" (that is in quotes for good reason.) He did finish a short paper and got a little bit done though. As a treat for all his hard work today, we decided to go golfing with Nate and Mallory. I was not willing to fork out the cash to play myself so I just drove the cart around. Grant had some really good hits and a few close calls but did not break anything (cars or houses) at the end of the day so for that we were grateful :)

While waiting for the lady in front of us to finish a hole, we were by a pond that had pretty much dried up so there were TONS of golf balls on the bottom. Seeing several out in the middle Grant told me to jump over the little stream over to dry ground. Unfortunately the ground around this little bit of water was a lot softer than it looked and I lost a shoe on the way over...

As I came back to cross it again I realized that I would have to clear this water feature again, and this time with one shoe. Needless to say, I was not any more successful crossing on the way back and got my other poor shoe covered in mud!

Sad pumas :( And this was like 10 minutes after Nate had commented that he liked my shoes. Grant owes me a new pair (or 2) of shoes now!

Luckily I did recover quite a few balls, maybe some will be expensive and I can sell them on ebay to pay for my new pair of shoes :)

LMAO! NOOO...not the PUMA's! I know your obsession and love for good quality shoes. Grant SO owes you and THEN SOME for risking your life and attire like that! At least a shopping spree at that place you were telling me about(a REAL store not of Utah). Still laughing...
ReplyDeleteHow's the early shift going??? I'm doing okay with mine...it cuts right into homework time and dinner time...have to figure out a happy medium. BEST TO YOU CHICKIE! Chat soon!
Ok-so last years halloween picture is both amazing and a little creepy, but in a good way. So sad about the shoes. Golfing looks wonderful-and the weather looks great. I too always just drive the cart, but I have never gotten stuck in the mud. See any snakes??
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I don't know if you have ever done this, but you can stick your shoes in the washer. I wash my tennis shoes and other shoes whenever they get dirty. It works excellently!
ReplyDeletei want your shoes.
