For anyone who has ever been to or lived in Utah, you know of the Cafe Rio obsession (I liken it to how Californians are obsessed with In-n-Out, and unfortunately I now have an obsession with both!) Pork salad, house dressing, easy on the cilantro, shared with one other person (sorry it was Karleigh, not you Grant...but she did a good job eating it the "right way.")
After snowboarding on Friday, I went out to dinner at Bangkok Grill (awesome thai food) with some old roommates from sophomore year. It was so fun to hang out and catch up.
I hung out with Grant's Utah siblings one night, did some good pizza eating and watched Gavin be crazy the rest of the night. Thanks for hosting Tim and Tricia. It was fun to see everyone...we have missed out on a lot of pizza parties since we've left :(
Jenny and I decided to go shopping in Park City, which was awesome. They got some new outlets, we bought some cute stuff, I got an Apple Pie apple at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory on the way home. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of her new little one, Jackson, but he was a great shopping buddy too. He ate while I tried on stuff at the Nike outlet, in the dressing room that was the size of my living room with an enormous bench, and slept the rest of the time!
One of my favorite meals...a gyro and fries from Burger Supreme. I fell in love with Burger Supreme my sophomore year when I went on the 'french fry diet'...this wasn't intentional, I just ended up eating fries for dinner on several occasions, and somehow in that month I lost 10 pounds...maybe I should write a book! And, I have to admit, I miss fry sauce (although I have to mix it with extra ketchup), why is it only a Utah thing?
Waiting for our food, ready with my 10 cups of my special blend of ketchup and fry sauce, and my diet coke with 5 fresh squeezed lime slices..mmmm...
Refilled and ready to go!
And... I got to hang out with Lindsay and Molly too! (and Nate of course :) I helped paint and decorate the nursery last time I was in Utah, but I finally got to meet the cute little girl that gets to live in that very cute room! So fun.
And of course, there were definitely some good times that I did not catch on camera (as you can tell from the fact that I am wearing the same jacket in almost all these pictures-since they were all taken in the same day!) Definitely a good trip!
oh i can't wait for cafe rio and fry sauce! too bad our trips to utah couldn't be at the same time. i'm going at the end of this month.
ReplyDeletesadly we didn't get pictures of you and me in our matching jackets!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely loving the green jacket and am really jealous of your extra day!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have had such a great visit! Utah is amazing-
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! I wish I could go visit. Why aren't there more Cafe Rios to go around? Next, you should take a trip to Florida and help me decorate my house.
ReplyDeleteI am salivating over your BS and Rio meals. AGHH. I don't know why Utah gets such a bad rap; they have the BEST food!
ReplyDeleteso sad we missed you! But next time you're in town we'll get you some of that yummy sushi... all-you-can-eat!!
ReplyDeleteYay for the outlets! Count me in for some skiing action next year!
ReplyDeleteI adore the house dressing at Cafe Rio and think they should offer it as a beverage.
ReplyDeleteI love rio too, I am jealous. . .I just decided I miss Mexicans. We were trying to find a good mexi place to eat but there was Nothing! We went to a place called Chipolte and it was Nastyness. Anyways, that is fun you got to go to Utah, I miss that place.
