SIX spectacular months

I'm late posting this but considering we celebrated Rowan's half birthday flying half way across the world and then spent the last week and a half settling back into life, a little tardiness is ok. This month was a bit of a whirlwind with all of our travels, but that didn't slow Rowan down. He's growing and developing as fast as ever. Here are a few pictures from the month...

Still loves to play outside. This was our first "cold" day since we have been in Okinawa...which really wasn't cold at all, but called for a blanket and a hat :)

We prepared for our big trip home! I love that he will wear hats, sunglasses, etc and doesn't seem phased by them at all. I'm sure one of these days he'll realize that he can rip them off, but for now I'm taking full advantage of it!

Celebrated his first Halloween as the cutest octopus ever!

Enjoyed his first fruits and vegetables...although you can't tell in this picture, sweet potatoes are his current favorite!

Cool kid!

Returned to his place of birth...and loved hanging out on the front porch as much as ever!

This month he became obsessed with sticking out his tongue! He had some fun with grandpa.

Still loves the bath!! Between being sick and starting solids, he took a lot of baths this month!

Frolicking in the pumpkins. Wore socks and shoes for more than to just look cute...experienced a little chilly weather while in California.

Continues to love his feet :)

This month he also:

-Had a terrible sleep regression. I'm not sure if it is the age, the traveling, him being sick, or what, but 3 hours was about the max he would sleep...just wanted to nurse all night long! It was a rough few weeks and we aren't back to where we used to be, but it has greatly improved luckily.

-Trying to crawl. Will get up on hands and knees and rock back and forth...can take a few crawling "steps" before falling and trying again

-Realized that mom is different from everyone else. He doesn't have stranger danger yet, but if he's tired or sad and sees me, he will reach for me. It's pretty cute but I also enjoy that he's pretty good with anyone holding him.

Can't believe we're already half way to 1! Love this little guy more than ever. He is laughing and giggling, so ticklish and is really such a good baby. He's a keeper! Happy half birthday Rowan!
