Lucky Thirteen!

Time continues to fly and this cute boy will not slow down (either in growing, or in moving around constantly :) Not sure how much longer I'll count his age in months (and continue with the monthly posts), but since this is really acting as my baby book and journal, I'm going to try to continue to document here! 

This month, he had is 1 year check up...and everything looked great! He weighed 21.5 lbs and was 29.5 inches (10.5 inch growth his birth!-it really is crazy how fast they grow)
 He also got his 12 month shots and got a fever like always, but not quite as bad as usual (I finally got smart and premedicated, so I think that helped)

This month he has:

-learned to stack rings on his wooden stacking toy (pictured above)-he has always loved playing with this but would only pull the rings off. One day we pulled it out and he knew how to put them back on and can now consistently do it
-started running-he is super confident in walking and has gotten crazy fast-and never stops :)
-transitioned to his sippy cup and whole milk and has done great. He had trouble with his straw sippy cup up until now by spitting it out, but now keeps it down without any trouble. He still gets one bottle at night and really looks forward to having it. He also stopped nursing all together this month also.
-learned how to "high 5"! Love it. We've been working on this for awhile. It's always fun to see how things will all of a sudden click and he'll figure it out!
-continues to LOVE the water (except getting showered off at the end of the bath-he will scream for this). But, he's fearless in the play water fountains and blows bubbles in the bath
-blows on everything including food (even if it's not hot, but is cute anyways), bubble wand, the air when he gets excited, etc. 

His smile continues to be contagious and adorable. He added another tooth to his smile and his top left molar just barely started poking through (causing a high "unexplained" fever the last couple of days). Love this kid to pieces!
