We drove from Oceanside to Davis on Sunday (about 8 hours) and again, the trip went really well. Rowan was pretty sick of being in his carseat by the last hour, but overall the roadtrip went as well as I could have asked for it to.
Monday we spent time doing laundry, getting situated, and Rowan had LOTS of new toys to play with. My mom pulled out tons of stuff she had from when we were little, but since she didn't have any boys, she also borrowed some "boy toys" from a friend. Whenever Rowan bored of one thing, he asked Mimi for something new, and she delivered. He's a little spoiled (but hey, when your grandkids live in Japan, grandma deserves to do a little spoiling :)
Holly flew in Monday night to visit and we were so excited to see her :)
We didn't have a ton of things we wanted to do, mostly just hang out with everyone, but we decided the Jelly Belly Factory would be a fun adventure. I hadn't been since I was a kid, but still remember going.

Next up was the tour. Unfortunately I couldn't take pics on the tour (super top secret ;) but it was just as I remember it. It brought back some childhood memories for me. I was worried Rowan would be too young to totally enjoy it, but he loved it! There were colorful jelly bellys everywhere, ROBOTS that did the work (his favorite part) and samples along the way :) Rowan's favorite part was a robot that had a stuffed jelly belly riding it and was picking up jelly beans. He still talks about this robot :)
At the end of the tour is sample time and the store part.
Here are the new flavors. They are part of a game (identical looking beans, one is delicious, one disgusting and you don't now which you'll get). No thanks. Didn't waste my samples on these :)
So many yummy flavors. Grant has been wanting to go for a long time so he really enjoyed it too!
Rowan got wise and started taking these "trash" beans from the catch bins and putting them in his bag, haha.

Fun day at the Jelly Belly Factory! Afterwards, we hit up the outlets (after Rubios for taco Tuesday lunch) and did some fun shopping!
