Happy 1/2 birthday Dylan!

This kid is seriously adorable. I just squeeze and kiss him all day.
It is so fun to see how much he has grown in his short little life thus far. It is truly amazing the changes a baby makes in these first few months. He has more than doubled his weight, he is expressive, smiles and giggles, he can roll over (all over), has outgrown 2 bins worth of clothes, has tried some real foods, etc.
Dylan checked out perfectly at his pediatrician appt this week. He weighs 16.5 lbs and 25.8 inches. He is back to closer to where he started out on the growth curve (around 30th percentile for both-after peaking in the 80th percentile at 2 months). He's still my biggest baby but has followed the same growth pattern as his brothers.
He was so cute at the appointment, smiling constantly at the doc and was completely obsessed with playing with, ripping and trying to eat the crinkly paper on the bed.
We love this cuddly, squishy, smiley little guy so much. He sleeps in his own crib and has started sleeping much better now that he is a belly sleeper, but still wakes up twice a night. He has started putting himself to sleep at naptime and bedtime though which is amazing! I have never had a kid that I could put in bed awake for naptime...it seriously makes my life so much easier and he takes longer better naps because of it. The sad life of the third child though is that I often have to wake him up to drive to preschool, etc. But he is generally pretty good in the car and has taken an interest in toys recently which help keep him occupied and happy. He will sit in a high chair at restaurants and loves to grab everything in reach (and will reach farther than you think he can).
We love you Dylan Kent. Happy half birthday.
