Calvert Cliffs

We were having great weather and Rowan has been asking to go to the "Megalodon beach" since he found out about it over a year ago, so for our next day trip we decided to hit up a beach by Calvert Cliffs. It is known for having lots of fossils and shark teeth. We did a little youtube research to hopefully pick a good spot, etc. I thought about buying some huge shark teeth to plant for the kids to find, but decided not to...so we hoped for the best. We also planned to do an egg hunt (but I forgot the eggs!...so on the way there we planned to do a beach day again before Easter)
We planned to get donuts at the Amish market but unfortunately it was closed for Good Friday so we had to settle for Dunkin. The kids didn't mind but I would have definitely preferred the other.
It was a cool little beach with a bamboo lined trail to get down to it from the parking area. The beaches here (on the bay) are not the best for water, etc. but I do love the greenery on the beaches and we have found some good spots with very few people which has been fun.
The weather this day was seriously perfect, so when we got home we continued our fun outside and just played in the yard until bedtime. I love Maryland on days like this when it is great weather and we get to enjoy the gorgeous green everywhere!
