Since we decided not to do a big party this year, we still wanted to do a little combined celebration, so we had Blake and Amy and Mike and Alexa over for dinner, games and dessert. I let the boys each pick their dessert and Boden wanted transformer golden oreo cupcakes and Rowan wanted lego sugar cookies. I toyed with the idea of going all out and trying to learn how to do royal icing fancy cookies, etc. but in the end kept it simple and did what he really wanted, frosting with red hots. It worked out perfectly.
I also let the boys pick what we had for dinner and they chose shrimp,
shrimp tacos, and mac n cheese. It turned out to be an amazing meal. The
mac n cheese I used some fun new cheeses and a few recipe and it was
delicious.
Boden ended up catching one of his cake toppers on fire which made it kind of exciting :) Luckily we got it out without any injuries or damage, haha.
Mike and Alexa got Rowan a soccer goal for his bday, so we all went out and played afterwards which was so much fun
I love these boys' combined birthday parties!
