Happy Birthday Rowan! Today Rowan chose pumpkin pie for breakfast (it was too unique an amazing a request to deny him), a hand packed school lunch with a happy birthday note, Dunkin donuts at school (they didn't have 2 dozen maple like he requested-I even called 4 different stores, so I had to settle for glazed but he was still happy), and a taco bell picnic in our backyard for dinner followed by more pie and lego building.
Rowan is an amazing kid and we are so lucky to have him in our family. He is responsible and dependable, eager to please and has a strong desire to choose the right. He loves legos, soccer and swimming and would be content doing any of those things all day long. He is an excellent big brother and plays very well with both Boden and Dylan. He is competitive and likes things to be fair but fun and funny as well. He can get emotional but is aware and asks for help calming down when he needs.
It was fun to visit Rowan's school to celebrate him. They have treats and then a dance party where the birthday kid gets to pick a couple songs. He picked Believer by Imagine Dragons and Shut up and Dance. His school policy is that they don't celebrate birthdays really but his Kindergarten teacher said that was ridiculous and told administration that Kinders were going to have celebrations :) I was in favor of that...let's celebrate these kids!

One of my favorite things was that it was hat day at school and he wore his birthday hat! It was perfect and I was glad he was confident enough to own it!
He was SO excited that it was finally his turn to open presents. It is hard when your brother's birthday is 4 days before yours. It was a long 4 days waiting for it to finally be his birthday ;)
Rowan is just an overall fun to be around kid and we love him! Happy birthday Rowan. 6 is going to be a good year!
