Rain man

Well it's mighty rainy outside this morning (and looks like it will continue all day) and unfortunately for Grant, the scooter is in full working order again. I am very appreciative of his amazing skills with fixing things (especially vehicles) but he probably would have been happier with a ride to school in the Protege this morning. I did offer but he decided he was tough enough to go on his own! Here is him in his full "Field and Stream" rain gear. Rain pants over his new jeans, rain slicker over his sweater, windproof jacket and backpack (hence the hunchback), full face helmet and scarf crammed up inside to protect his chin from the wind (which is why a balaclava is now on his Christmas list). Tomorrow isn't looking much better :(
Whatever happened to global warming. This is the coldest Thanksgiving I'll have had in years!

PS- I make him text me when he gets to school, especially on days like today, and he made it just fine and completely dry. Glad to know the rain gear was money well spent.

  1. Wish we had pictures of Tyler on his way snowboarding on the scooter. Pretty crazy!

Melly thinks all of the global warming is in Canada -- it certainly isn't in Kentucky or Virginia.

  3. That's awesome! We miss the Vespa-- although not very practical since Sean commutes to SLC. Glad you guys got yours fixed!
