Inauguration Day...

Yes, I'm sure this is the most popular blog title of the day, but I felt it an obligation and also a privilege to write a little bit about today's events. I don't claim to be, and have never been a very political person. I agree with some of Obama's ideals and not others, but what I do know is that I feel so fortunate to live in this country. As mentioned during today's ceremony, it is amazing that we can turn over power of the world's most powerful country in a peaceful way like millions of Americans witnessed today. I loved the encounter between the Bush's and Obama's on the steps of the White House, 2 couples whose political views vastly separate them, yet the connection and true desire for success seemed so sincere. Good luck President Obama, we're all praying and hoping for the best! Congratulations and God Bless America.

  2. Funny-- your post is the only one I've seen today about the inaguration! I for one am happy the inaguration is over because I was stuck watching the whole thing while nursing since nothing else was on!

Well, said. Yesterday's pictures spoke volumes to the world about how democracy works.
