The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there! (and he did not disappoint)
Our stockings continue to be one of my favorite parts of Christmas morning. Thank goodness they're stretchy! More room for fun stuff :) My Grandma made my stocking, and my great aunt has continued the tradition and made Grant one when we got married...his still needs to be broken in a bit, it's not quite as stretchy yet.
My job is such a blessing as I am able to work from wherever I go. It can be annoying once in awhile as I often do not get a real vacation since I work on the road but I can't complain. I was gone for almost 2 weeks and didn't have to use any PTO. I did have a Christmas Day shift (we are assigned a couple different holidays each year) and our big dinner party was taking place in the living room where I had been working the rest of the week, so I made an "office" on our air mattress in the back room surrounded by presents and sporting my new shirt and yoga pants. I am truly so thankful for this job!

Your picture at the Old Town cafe is making me crave their tortillas. YUM! Next time you guys go to San Diego we are going with you.

ReplyDeleteLook at you and all your updated blogging. You guys seemed to have an eventful time, you could have stayed home and partied it up with us. I can't post those pictures though, because their too explicit... or I don't have any. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the overflowing presents around a tiny tree thing is still happening for the Roses on Christmas morning. Don't you miss Grandma's house still? And your no-make-up-pj's shot looks way better than mine does!
