It's a beautiful day!

Andrea and I have been planning this trip for months. We got plane tickets back in November I think, couldn't wait for it to come, and then a few weeks ago I thought to myself, "Why am I going to Utah in January?! I should be going somewhere much warmer." Although I cannot say that it has been "warm" while I've been here, I can say that yesterday was probably the most perfect day of snowboarding I've ever had! The sky was bright blue, not a cloud anywhere, the temperature was perfect (I got a little warm at times but never too hot and not at all cold), the snow was still pretty fresh, and we got an amazing deal on tickets and lunch at The Canyons.
Ever since my ACL repair my knee hasn't been quite the same. The surgery was successful, my knee is strong again, but it still gives me issues. For that reason, I was really worried about further injuring it yesterday, but even with a few good spills (that shook my brain around a little), I am proud to say that with the exception of being just a little bit sore this morning, I am perfectly intact and not hurting at all!

I felt bad but couldn't help but text this picture to Grant yesterday as I was riding up the lift. It was seriously so beautiful and I forget how much I love snowboarding until I'm on the mountain actually doing it. (I guess that's a good thing, otherwise I might spend way too much money doing it).
Holding on trying to keep from sliding down the hill!
Taking a little rest.
After our awesome lunch (yes I did spill Diet Pepsi all over my burger and fries-but I got it dried off and it was good to go). 2 lift tickets, 2 burgers (with fries) and 2 beers (or diet Pepsi's- since I spill my drink even sober) for $109...sweet deal.
Such a fun day...wish I could do it again!

  2. Lucky girl! Snow is so much better when it isn't FREEEEEZING outside.

  3. Yeah!! It seriously was the best day. Our future planning definitely paid off even if it was to a cold destination.
