Happy "Birthday" Mom!

I'm in San Diego right now, and both my parents are down here, but my dad is leaving tomorrow so he can go back to work on Monday. My mom's birthday is Monday so we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate her birthday and my getting into nursing school. It was an amazing dinner; awesome food, gorgeous view, good service, overall great meal.

We went to a restaurant on Coronado called Peohe's, owned by Chart House. It is a steak and seafood restaurant.

Ready for some good food! Just had some See's Candy samples at Horton Plaza for lunch, needed some real food!Figuring out what we wanted to eat. We sat on the covered/enclosed patio, beautiful view.

There were literally 100 dolphins that swam by just out from where we were sitting. None of them were jumping Sea World style but we could see them coming out of the water a little bit as they swam by. The number of them was amazing!

Our "Pu-pu" platter. So yummy. Then for dinner I had Maui-style Mahi Mahi, mom had a halibut with bananas and macadamia nuts (sounds weird but it was SO good-even I liked it and I don't like bananas) and dad had the New York strip steak with mushroom sauce. It was all amazing, and I'm glad we all like sharing :)

Chocolate Molten lava cake with macadamia nut ice cream and toffee bits. I NEED to learn how to make this, it was seriously amazing!
