Make LEMONADE!
And believe me, this is the most amazing lemonade in the world.
Step 1: Cut the lemons, don't just pull off the tree as it will rip the skin. Use some sharp shears, a step stool and a bucket to throw them all in to.
Really getting in there...I was thirsty (as you can tell from my outfit I had just gone running) and I needed lots of lemons.
Wash them. Somehow the fruit seems to get covered in dirt, even up so high on the tree.
And dry...
Slice with a good sharp knife.
Then take a pretty picture of the cut lemons.
Start the juicing. Yes, this juicer is ancient and isn't the prettiest, but it works like a charm! So amazing. And yes, I inherited it :)
RECIPE: 2 c fresh squeezed lemon juice, 2 c Splenda (so that I can guiltlessly drink after my 7 mile run) and then fill the pitcher full with water (not sure the measurement on this).

ReplyDeleteI am from Arizona and I know just what you mean. There is nothing like a glass of fresh squeezed cold lemonade right from the tree. I wish I wold have known that you share my love for fresh juice. My mom brought us a suitcase full of citrus when she came to help with Brynlee. Oh how is miss fresh oranges!

ReplyDeleteFor a minute I thought that lemon tree was at your house and I was going to make you fed-ex me some! I am so jealous. One day, when I grow up, I'm going to have a lemon tree in my yard.
