...and it continues

The fun continued the next day as we grabbed some donuts and hot chocolate and watched the surfers while we ate breakfast. It was incredible how many surfers were out that morning all along the coast.

We wanted to have some warmer (more stereotypical California) beach time, so we spent the morning traveling down the coast to Santa Cruz area. We stopped in several spots along the way to look at tide pools and enjoy the views.This area had tons of big crabs, enenemies, etc...so fun!As we pulled into Santa Cruz, the sun came out, the windows went down, and we were ready for some beach time. We got some lunch and headed to the beach, just south of SC. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed a lot of time on the shore and also some good time in the water!

We enjoyed some more of our favorite beach game ever...Smashball! ...and ended up way out in the water by the middle of our game (waist deep at one point).

And finally, after a nap and some snacks, we played a little more on the sand and then headed back home.

It was an awesome little vacation within our vacation...I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. We enjoyed the time with my parents as well and were so glad they could take a little vacation with us!
