Lake Tahoe is a place where I have lots of memories...and I fully intend to make several more there in my lifetime. I LOVE it! I couldn't just pass it by on our travel from Fallon to Davis, so we decided to spend the day enjoying the lake and beautiful views! This is Emerald Bay where we spent some time hiking around and eating lunch...it is one of my favorite look-out spots!
After lunch, we drove along the side of the lake enjoying different views, checking out the enormous lakeside houses that we can dream of owning one day, and then spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach. Here was an area with a ton of boats...I can see mine right there in the middle ;)
We had perfect weather and the spot where we went to the beach was actually really shallow for awhile, so the water was surprisingly warm, not even hard to get in!
We found a little beach that had music playing, etc...so that added to the fun beach feel...
Can't wait til I get to go back...I love it both winter and summer (obviously a little more in the summer...just because I like warm :)

Nate and I went there on our honeymoon.... ohhhhh. Really though, it is such a beautiful place. I would love to go back, kind of jealous your spending your summer on beaches.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TAHOE. My uncle lives in Incline Village and I visited him a lot growing up. I love that hike in Emerald Bay. And the beach with the shallow for awhile is one of my favorites. We loved to take the dogs down there. So Glad you guys are having a great summer!

ReplyDeleteTahoe is so gorgeous! I'm jealous of all the outdoor time you guys are getting in beautiful places! I have very fond memories of Tahoe with you. Remember bugging Paul and Edmund to throw us around in the pool? So fun!
