Happy Birthday Holly!

For Holly's birthday, she decided she wanted a trip to come visit us (or the beach...)! She hasn't celebrated her birthday with family in several years, so my parents came down for the weekend as well. We had a great long weekend full of fun and food (of course :)
They flew in late Thursday night and unfortunately it was POURING rain for our drive home (which made it a little exciting), but on the positive side, the sky got rid of most of its water that night so we didn't have to deal with it the rest of the weekend. Friday was her birthday and we had lunch with my Grandpa at his place and then headed to Extraordinary Desserts (for my second time in less than a week). It was as delicious and beautiful as always! (but I didn't get any pics of them)
That night we headed to Lighthouse for happy hour dinner and enjoyed some more amazing food (no wonder I gained more weight than desired last week!)
Even though it was Holly's birthday, she brought me more presents than I got her! (well, they weren't technically for me ;) These little Sperrys are way too cute. (Who said having a boy wasn't fun!)
The rest of the weekend we did some fun shopping, walking, talking, more eating, and hanging out.
We took the scenic route home from shopping on Saturday and took some pics on the cliffs in Carlsbad, so pretty!
 My cute parents...
and then on Sunday, on our way down to the airport, we stopped at the cove in La Jolla. I've been there several times recently, but it's pretty and fun every time!
Unfortunately Grant had to take the picture...his spot next to me is obviously empty...
The seals were out in full force!
And these 2 were hilarious. They were constantly "fighting" and pushing each other off the rock. It was so fun to watch them surf the waves to gain the height and momentum to get back on the rock.
Thank you Holly for celebrating your big birthday weekend with us!!
