My parents came to visit over my dad's spring break, so we decided to do a few little fun outings, one of which was the flower fields in Carlsbad. I have driven by several times over the years, but have never actually gone it.
It was pretty amazing, and they were rows upon rows of one of my favorite flowers, ranunculus.
Also some pretty wildflowers!
The boys were pretty excited about the flowers and liked to smell them

We took a tractor ride around the fields, which the boys obviously loved
So sweet
We rounded out the day with tacos at Rubios with a view of the flowers and then some ice cream (that I promised we could get if they were good at the flowers) at McDonalds for $1 each instead of the $4.50 cone at the fields.
