Growing up in Davis, I have attended the Whole Earth Festival, almost every year that I can remember. It is a crazy festival full of hippies from all over the country (who arrive via VW bus, bicycle, foot, etc), everyone wears their favorite tie-dye, there are vendors all over the UCD quad with fun jewelry, cool pottery as well as all too natural products such as reusable/washable feminine hygiene products, etc. There is live music for much of the day, delicious food and drinks... and of course, it wouldn't be a hippie festival without the overwhelming scent of cannabis everywhere!

This is only 1 of MANY tie-dye vendor stands...they are everywhere. And of course, it is 100% organic cotton, they wouldn't have it any other way. There is lots of hemp clothing as well.

Yes, my future child will definitely be wearing one of these someday. SO CUTE!The flower I am holding is made from a corn husk. A guy just twisted it all together and tah-dah, it's a flower. He was selling them for a dollar each, but Grant spotted one on the ground, making it free to me :) We still have it proudly displayed in the car, although it is brown now!Grant's favorite "exhibit". The very weird cars that probably run on grease or something crazy.

Ever seen a Chia pet man with dreads?And finally, my favorite part, Holly and I got henna tattoos. They were so fun and lasted for weeks!
