A day at the Chesapeake Bay.

On Sunday, we decided to have a mellow day on the beach, just walking around, looking at houses, and searching for shells.
Below is the view from LaVar and Judy's balcony off the living/dining room. Incredible to be able to look out and see the water as we sat at the table to eat, when we woke up each morning, and especially when we would walk out on the balcony. We loved it...wish you guys were staying, but thanks again for having us! We had SO much fun. We took the couple minute walk down the street and pretty soon we were on the sand overlooking the enormous bay. People were out jetskiing, boating, etc...needless to say, I was a bit jealous of that but was ecstatic just to be on the beach so I was ok.
We found a few cool shells, but mostly it was just fun to walk in the warm water and enjoy the beautiful day. We really lucked out with the weather. It had been cold the weekend before, but ws in the high 70s-low 80s the whole time we were there. We had a very short rain storm on Sunday a few hours before we went out to the beach, but nothing that interfered with any other plans. These crabs were awesome, and we saw a lot of them. This guy cooperated long enough for me to get up close and take a picture of him :)The seaweed there is very minimal and actually kind of pretty, I liked that. Finally, just a picture of us with some dunes in the background and a sign making sure to let us know not to disturb them.
All in all it was a wonderful holiday weekend. We enjoyed time with family, the good weather, the time off from school and work, and obviously, the beach.

  3. Hey guys! We are officially in Ohio. We've been here for over three weeks already...CRAZY! We're loving it so far. Sean started work today. He's working in the admissions department at the dental school, so it's a nice way to start off this four year craziness. Good luck with the last bit of the first year!
