Belated and Early Birthdays

Since my whole family was together for a few days, we decided to celebrate my belated birthday and Grant's soon to be birthday. We started out with some amazing fish and/or chicken tacos with fruit salad and grilled veggies.
Dinner was followed by one of my favorite parts of birthdays (yes I know it's superficial)...present time :) Listening to my singing card. My sisters were in charge of present wrapping and since Grant is viewed as the "little kid" of the family, the Barney bag was rightfully his.Grant started putting his ribbons on my head while we continued to open.
And Karleigh felt the need to then wrap herself at the end and take a picture while we were doing the after present fashion show. We walked the catwalk in each of our new outfits. For the first time in a few years, I didn't make my own birthday cake. My dad had an amazing carrot cake recipe he had been wanting me to try and I haven't had an opportunity to make it yet, so we tried it out, and it was SO good! Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, yum.
And it wouldn't be a birthday without the picture of us blowing out candles.
